LISTEN provides need-based scholarships to local summer camps for Upper Valley families. Scholarships can be used for both day and overnight camps. We work with over 40 camps and can match children to a wide range of interests: such as outdoor activities, art, sports, theater, and more.
- Income guidelines. We also make exceptions for financial hardship in extenuating circumstances (please talk to our service coordinator to see if you qualify)
- Family must live within our service area
- Camper must be between ages 6-14 during time of summer camp
How to Apply:
Starting in February, parents/legal guardians who have a referral from their school or social service agency can call (603) 448-4553 to schedule an appointment. Contact your school to find out more.
Starting in April, all other parents/legal guardians who meet the above eligibility requirements can “self-refer” by calling (603) 448-4553 to schedule an appointment.
Parents must bring income documentation (paystubs, benefits documents, child support documents, etc) for the household.
Parents should bring health insurance cards and immunization records for each camper, as well as any work or school calendars to help with camp registration.
We encourage parents to do their research and come to the appointment with a few camps in mind, however it is not required. Camp options can be discussed during the appointment based on your child’s interests, camp availability, and scholarship funds available.
